The Process
After you have made the decision to install a Geothermal Heat Pump System, you will consult with a Heating and Air Conditioning Contractor. They will determine the heating and cooling load requirements for your project. This will be based on the size, design and the construction of your home or building. this is a very important step in the design and cost of your system.
Our Part
We are the Drilling and Loop Installation Contractors. The exterior portion of the system is known as the as the “ground loop”. This loop consists of several lengths of plastic ground pipe, typically installed in either horizontal trenches or vertical holes.
Horizontal systems require a larger amount of land area compared to a vertical system.
Whether drilling holes or excavating trenches, we will layout several hundred feet of pipe (50 year warranty), complete the pipe with supply and return lines that run into the structure.
Next, we fill the pipes with water and a non-toxic anti-freeze solution that circulates through the pipes, absorbing heat from the earth’s warm temperature.
We then connect the pipes to the interior units installed by the HVAC Contractor.
You are now ready to enjoy the comforts of the eco-friendly, cost efficient, quite, geothermal system.
